Hello! My name is Zoë Reed. I am a 2024 graduate of the University of Gloucestershire. I love to work using mixed-media. My themes of interest mainly include: nature, animals, and magical realism. Currently, I am focusing on pet portraiture. My 2024 Degree Show project focused on combining overheard conversations with drawings, prints, and paintings of antique objects. I aim to evoke a sense of humour and a connection to the mundane world for my audience.
Outside of my practise, I am interested in different physical hobbies including: cycling, yoga, running, and lifting weights. They help me to release myself from my mind. Analogue processes such as printmaking also give me this release, which is why I enjoy having a multidisciplinary approach to my art.
Born and raised in Bristol, I have been very lucky to have a good creative community surrounding me for most of my life. Both my parents - as well as many close friends - are creative people, which has never left me lacking for inspiration!
